Mauricio Pochettino previously said that he would fine Jackson for his yellow cards but not with money and the player believes he served his punishment.
“One day, I was running and I didn’t know why, maybe that was it. I was dead that day, I think that was my punishment. They just called me out to run. I said ‘why, what happened’, but I just had to run. It was laps, really hard, the intensity, then I was lying down when I finished. I think it was that!”
Pochettino on Palmer: “Our responsibility is to push him every day. That is why we sign him, because we believe in him.”
Pochettino on the possibility of signing another striker in January:
“It’s something we are going to analyze between the owners, the sporting director and of course the coaching staff. I think it’s important that we have a very good relationship and make decisions together.

Pochettino says Nkunku and Lavia are in good condition but not fully fit, so they will not be part of the Newcastle vs Chelsea game.
Pochettino on Nkunku: “He is a fantastic player that was top scorer in Bundesliga and he can play in different positions. Really bad luck to lose him for the beginning of the season.
Step by step we will find the best way for him to fit in the team. He needs to build his form and be in his best XI to then compete with players.”
